She has a deep desire and passion to help the thoroughbred community by retraining and rehoming thoroughbreds; knowing that the work we do in Run for the Ribbons makes a difference in the thoroughbred racing and aftercare community in North America.

Cara Mckeon
Marketing & Communications Manager | Social Media & Communications Coordinator
Natalie is a lifetime OTTB owner whose passion and love of thoroughbreds has kept her highly involved since a young girl. Natalie showed all through New England on IEA teams and show circuits throughout high school. Natalie joined the Marine Corps in 2015 but has not let that stop her from being active with her thoroughbreds and Run for the Ribbons.

Natalie Camarena
Office & Events Manager / Secretary
Natalie’s love for off-track Thoroughbreds has been a guiding force in her life since childhood. When her mother adopted her first OTTB AJ Crew in 2005 it brought the thoroughbreds into her life, and they never left! You can still find AJ roaming the fields at RFTR’s homebase sharing his pasture “Tun Tavern” with Natalie’s other horse Ghost. Growing up in New England, she competed passionately on IEA teams and show circuits throughout high school, forging a lifelong bond with these incredible horses.
In 2015, Natalie joined the Marine Corps, exemplifying dedication and strength both in service and in her equestrian life. Along her travels she takes her horse Ghost with her wherever she can! He spent three years with her aboard NAS Meridian, MS. Despite the demands of military life, her passion for CNN Thoroughbreds and commitment to Run for the Ribbons never waver. Every chance she gets, she eagerly returns to the farm and the annual Expo, where she joyfully reconnects with the horses she loves and the community that shares her devotion.
