Abby’s deep love for Thoroughbreds runs in her blood. Inspired by her father, who bred and raced Dancer’s Image, winner of the 1968 Kentucky Derby, Abby grew up forming strong bonds with these incredible athletes. Starting out riding Thoroughbreds in the show ring, Abby transitioned to racing, becoming a successful female jockey in the Northeast. Abby piloted many horses to victory, including her father’s homebred champion Mom’s Command in the 1985 Filly Triple Crown.

Since retiring from riding and training, Abby has dedicated herself to the healing and rehabilitation of Thoroughbreds, guided by her PATH certification and a heart full of care. She spends countless hours nurturing these horses —helping them rebuild trust and preparing them to thrive with their new human partners.
