Many of our board members share fond memories of New England racing days seeing Manny’s silks carry on the Roos family legacy. His love for the sport and his horses is one that’ll never be forgotten.

Obituary

Manfred “Manny” Roos, formerly of Newton MA, Lexington, KY and Plainville MA passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024
Manny was involved in Horse Racing for over 50 years. His horses were trained by John Rigattieri, The late Arthur Duffy, Arthur Duffy Jr. and his son Barry Roos.
Beloved husband of the late Faye Roos (Cohen)

Wonderful father and father-in-law to Pamela Friedman Ross and her husband Rob, Barry Roos and his wife Leslie, and Stacy Roos. Adoring grandfather of Brad and Jared Ross, Allyson and Erica Roos, Jeffrey Gizelis and Lauren Carmen.
Son of the late Max and Gertrud (Hene), loving brother to Norman (Carin) and the late Elaine Kosto. Brother-in-law of Estelle Zatz and Sandra Levine.
