Shawn Hall – Working Ranch

I was born and raised in South East New Mexico. I was raised on a 25,000 acre cattle and horse ranch where I started training and shoeing horses at the age of 15, then went to training pro at the age of 18. Between the ages of 18-27, I trained for Singleton’s Cattle Company, Hash Knife Quarter Horses and Figures Four Hancock horses. In that time frame I qualified three horses for AQHA Worlds in roping and reining.

In 2007 I started my own training facility in Conifer Colorado, at Diamond Sky Ranch. I took four horses, three years in a row to top 5 and 10 in the Denver livestock show, while also competing in the Mustang Makeover in Madison Wisconsin, having a top 10 horse selling for $12,500.

In 2011 I was offered a job for 6 months in Alaska with the Department of Agriculture, training and providing clinics. After the 6 months I chose to stay and continue my job. During this time, I carried a three year term on the High School Rodeo Board and the Alaska State Quarter Horse Board.

In 2012-14 I qualified another Junior Ranch Versatility horse to AQHA Worlds. I am currently living in Morriston, FL where I will remain, providing training and clinics to the public. I have had the great pleasure here training for Bo Bet Farms (Carol Harris) for the last few years and many other Thoroughbred farms here in this area.
